Rhonda created this dressing for our "Healing Spices" Suppers meeting featuring turmeric. In her recipe, the mustard and honey balance each other and should be used in equal amounts. The black pepper aids in absorption of the health-enhancing qualities of the turmeric (as does fresh ginger, which might be a tasty addition).
Ingredients
 1⁄3 cup
 lemon juice (freshly squeezed) 1⁄3 cup
 extra virgin olive oil 1 tablespoon
 Dijon mustard 1 tablespoon
 honey 1 clove
 garlic (finely grated) 1 teaspoon
 fresh turmeric root (finely grated) 1 teaspoon
 freshly ground black pepper 1 pinch
 sea saltInstructions
Whisk all ingredients together. Taste and adjust the flavorings as needed. Toss with the Red Cabbage Slaw. (Recipe #848)
