Raw Live Gardenburger


1 pound
any raw nuts
1 pound
carrots (chopped)
medium red onion (chopped)
1 tablespoon
natural sweetener (dates, honey, agave, etc.)
1 tablespoon
olive oil
1 tablespoon
favorite seasoning (to taste)
2 tablespoons
nutritional yeast (optional, or more to taste)
sea salt (to taste)


Grind nuts in a food processor to desired consistency, remove. Process remainder of ingredients until well blended, but still crumbly and not pasty; add to nuts. If mixture isn't firm enough to form, add one or two of the following thickeners: dill weed, dried garlic, dried onion, dried parsley flakes, nutritional yeast, psyllium husk powder, ground flax seeds.

Form into balls, cutlets, or fillets and sprinkle with paprika before serving. As you can see, it is possible to incorporate many nutritional ingredients to fortify these without changing the flavor. Eat and enjoy.  (Recipe #696)
