Green Slaw with Toasted Walnut Dressing


head of cabbage (shredded fine)
1 bunch
lacinato kale (shredded fine)
1 1⁄2 cup
walnuts (chopped)
1⁄2 cup
red onion (or to taste, thinly slivered)
1⁄3 cup
cider vinegar
salt and pepper (to taste)
5 drops
stevia or a spoon of honey for a sweet note (optional)


Place the chopped walnuts on a tray without crowding and toast them at 350°F for about 4 - 5 mins. Stir them twice during the process and watch them constantly so you don’t burn them.   
Combine the dressing ingredients. Toss the shredded kale and cabbage, toasted walnuts and dressing.    (Recipe♦461)
