Welcome to Tammy L. Sands - Our Program Manager!

We are so pleased to announce the appointment of Tammy L. Sands as our new Program Manager.

In this position, Tammy will manage all aspects of Suppers Eating for Your Health programs. Her focus is on both piloting new programs and promoting existing programs such as the “What’s In Your Grocery Cart?”, “Healthy Cooking on a Budget”, “Healthy Weight Management" and other programs to help people to prevent and reduce the impact of chronic disease. In addition, she will be building a roster of speakers and subject matter experts to participate in panel discussions and upcoming programs.

“We’re so excited to have Tammy join the Eating For Your Health – Suppers’ team says Marion Reinson, Eating For Your Health – Suppers Executive Director. “Our programs allow us to engage and cultivate relationships with community and business organizations” continues Reinson. “Having Tammy on board enables us to provide even more programming to people ready or curious about eating in a healthier way.”

Tammy has spent her life focusing on natural remedies and sharing holistic practices with others through various businesses. Her background and experience make her a natural fit for this position. Sands began her career as a nurse, servicing trauma patients and their families. This work led the global standardization of trauma care through clinical trial research and competency development. She holds a Law Degree in Environmental Law & Policy, with a focus on Food and Agriculture. In addition, Sands has ‘hands-on’ experience supporting an urban farm in one of New Jersey’s poorest cities.

“Tammy has a strong hold on the concept of food as our first line of medicine from indigenous wisdom and beyond,” says Board Chair, Fiona Capstick. “We are eager to work together with her as our Program Manager.”

Stay tuned for exciting new programs over the next several months – including healthy eating programs for businesses to offer their employees – all which will continue to reinforce the Eating For Your Health’s belief that How You Feel Is Data!®
